Who would you take with the flames first rounder ?

I want the Flames to take Callan Foote with there pick.

He seems like a Griffen Reinhart type to me. Looks great in Jr but lack of foot speed will keep him from making the NHL as an impact player. Besides, D is the least area of concern for our prospect depth. I've been leaning more and more towards Kole Lind. He shoots the right way (right), has decent size and scoring capabilities and has intangibles like grit in his game. He could be a possible Johnny and Mony linemate down the road.
Whatever route the Flames take I just hope they find some good right shooting prospects to add to the stable. It's what we need most.

Trying to find his balls. He doesn't come in here unless he has reason to troll. And with the Oil dumped from the PO's there's no reason to come here. You don't think he could actually talk hockey, do you?

Have you seen the reports that Dallas is willing to trade there third for an NHL ready player.

If BT has any inclination that he won't be able to resign Backlund, than this would get the conversation started.

I would hate to lose Backlund but just for the purpose of conversation who would you take at 3?

1st off as much as i love backs, I don't think he is going to bring back a 3rd OA on his own. But for argument sake, I'd likely take Vilardi or Glass (who I really like). I may also trade down and try to snag Tippet who is labeled a pure sniper which we could use beside Johnny and Mony.

If he's there, I really like Nick Suzuki. Ultra-talented kid and led all CHL draft eligibles in points per 60

Yea the concern with him, I believe is his scoring at 5v5. But he has the size and ability so I would hope he'd have a good shot at developing his overall game.

Backs has shown that he is one of the elite 2-way forwards in the league....he's gonna start getting his name on those Selke talks very soon, it just takes a few years of getting into that exclusive club conversation
